I had the same experience in the past and it turned out to be the caliper that was getting stuck and the pads would not retract away from the rotors causing friction and eventually burning your pads.

Is this correct? I have the 2003 liberty sport 4x4 and is a all disk brake jeep so no cap to get to a wheel shaft nut. its a wheel hub but for the life of me no one has this part number only for the front. I would assume its the same as the front.
