Hi AJB, Tell me has the web abolished good manners? You are asking for help from people who have volunteered to give help, not inanimate machines! I've just now looked at three requests from you, all of which have been demands. If we're willing to give up our time to help you, have the good manners to communicate remembering we are people. Regards John
Just had exactly the same problem with my Kangoo, the bolt had come loose on the bottom crank pulley and the alternator belt came off, unfortunately, as I have found out, this allows the cam belt pulley to move on the shaft and the timing will have slipped and this almost certainly causes damage to valves, pistons etc. I'm just about to strip mine down to find the damage. Not good news but hope it helps to find the problem. Fraser.
if the old belt is still on, its quicker if you just trace how the belt goes around the different pullies on a piece of paper, or take a digital photo of the belt. that way you how to install the new one.
