On the highway at about 2000 RPM the car hesitates/dies a little. After I depress the accelerator to maintain speed, the problem eventually clears and power restores. We are getting codes p0171, p0172, p1408 and p1132. It dosen't appear to be throttle position based as it occurs at various throttle positions. I have read it might be the mass airflow sensor but I have disconnected the MAF sensor and there appears to be no change.
If you disconnected the Mass air flow sensor the car should have die out at idle. Check fuel pump pressure at the fuel rail should be 30 psi at idle. Low fuel pressure will cause your po 171, 172, problems which could cause the other to problems. You might be needing a fuel pump and filter.

2005 Ford Taurus maybe needind a recalibration of the ECM.For lack of power at highway speed,Misfire at load?low RPM also,The operation of a fuel pressure sensor is to limit voltage to the fuel pump when certain amount of fuel is not needed, and increase voltage when fuel is needed. If anything you need a recalibration of the ECM.
The PO441 has to do with your HO2S 2 (Oxygen sensor). You need to check to make sure the wire is not off of the sensor and check the grounds to the Oxygen sensor. Could be a bad Oxygen Sensor. The other code has to do with your Evap system Purge solenoid circuit. Has to do with detecting an improper voltage level. Could be a shorted Purge solenoid.
