SOURCE: where is the body control module located on a 1997 town & country
It is located on the back side of the underdash fuse box (junction block). You remove the lower steering column cover and knee blocker reinforcement. Then remove two plugs from the bottom of the BCM.
Remove the bolts holding the junction block to dash panel mounting bracket. Remove the junction block from the bracket. Remove screws holding the BCM to the junction block. Slide the BCM downward to disengage guide studs on jb from channels on BCM mounting bracket

SOURCE: What does a p1784 code on a 1997 chrlyster town
The code is about the switch that monitors the hydraulic pressure for operating the low/reverse clutch of the transmission. That clutch is called into play for all forward gears as well as reverse, so it seems reasonable if that clutch were not working that the car wouldn't move in any gear. I would begin by making sure that there is sufficient trans fluid by inspecting its dipstick. If needed only use ATF +4 but don't overfill it. Also, just on a chance, take a look underneath to see if you see any motion of either the left or right half axles (or one moving, but one not) which would be another reason for no motion due to a drive shaft disconnection or some such anomaly. Other than that, your problem could be with the Low/Reverse solenoid switch in the solenoid pack portion of the transmission (the box on the driver's side of the trans) being stuck. That can be repaired without removing and rebuilding the transmission so let us hope that may be the cause. I would have the car towed to a good independent trans shop that has a reputation for knowing how to service the Chrysler electronic transmission
SOURCE: CHRYSLER town and country mini van turn signal/flasher
I have a 2005 Chrysler T&C. The turn signal would not work at all or activate incorrect side. The switch is easy to remove as described by dukecityman.
Once the switch is of, it has four screws holding it together.I took this apart to find that there was a circuit-board which was contaminated with dirt. wiped it of, put it back together, working fine.
If you take it apart use caution. there are parts on the "top" which will fall out. ( they go right back in) The circuit-board is on the "bottom" half. You really only need to take this part off. (less moving parts)
Your going to replace it anyway, whats the harm?
SOURCE: Replace fuel pump 1996 chrysler town and country
The fuelpump is located inside the gas tank, you will need to jack rear of van up, take caution the gas should be drained as far as it can be, this make thinngs easier, lkie handling the tank. first discoonect the connector to tank pump, on some of these the tank only need to be drop a little bit, the pump goes in from the top rear of the tank, you will need a jack you may need a board to put between the jack and tank, supprot tank and remove the two straps holding the tank, remove the hoses for the filler neck at the tank, next lower the tank, keep an eye out for hoses still connected, theres a vent hose and the two lines to pump, when you have enough room disconnect the lines. i have enclosed some diagrams to show you the pump which is a complete module and the location of the pump. the tank sits under the driverside center of the van, if you look you will see the filter next to the ring that holds the pump in.after removing the lines next remove the filter and replace that also with the new pump for warranty reasons and good to do.you will lower the tank , i would drop to the ground , this way you have plenty of room, with the tank empty you will be able to move it around , it make things easier.next is to remove the ring that holds pump in, remove by twisting counterclockwise, you may need to use a big pair of channel lock pliers, i use a dull chiesel and hammer to tap loose but use caution not to break or split the ring its plastic. with the ring off pull pump out, replace it with new, make sure to install new ring gasket that comes with the pump, next reverse to install you will need to line up the notches and push it down in tank and start the ring, its spring loaded so it will pop back up, hold it and start the ring and tighten it, hope this is helpful.
