if you can drop back seats you can get in and manually flick the lever when it is open you will have to go to dealer to see if you can get a key to match or you might get 1 in a junkyard. if this helps please rate me

SOURCE: Audi A6 Anti Theft Central Locking Tantrums

Sounds like you are having problems with your built-in alarm system. Like most systems in your Audi, you can read the error codes stored in the controllers. It takes a tool normally only a dealer has (VW or Audi) or an adapter like the VAG Com. (Google it)

I also think you can disable the alarm system and just use the key.

Could the lock button on your remote be stuck? Use a different key/remote. (leaving the suspect key at home.) The keys/remotes can be taken apart....

SOURCE: my car is a 1997 audi a4 and doesnt have remote

I would start with driver door lock , not the lock cyllinder , but lock assembly which is inside the door and have switches build in to it.

Sounds like the plastic retainer on the inside of the door that connects the rod from the lock lever to the lock actuator has either broken or become disconnected..

2003 audi a4 door wont unlock with or without key after changing battery in key fob

Your KEY will not unlock the Door? That has nothing to do with the FOB.

OR do you mean your FOB will not work at all?. If it is a PROGRAMMING ISSUE, you need to contact your Dealer

I replaced battery in my audi 80 2.0 tdi but have lost the remote and alarm wont stop going off .

Depress lock or unlock button. Manually lock and unlock driver's door within 30 seconds. System should now lock or unlock vehicle. If not, carry out programming procedure.
Programming
When
Key added or replaced. System malfunction: Alarm LED in rear fog lamp switch illuminates for 30 seconds when vehicle is locked.
How
NOTE: A maximum of 4 keys can be programmed (one at a time).
As memory positions of existing keys are unlikely to be known: Obtain and reprogram all keys.
NOTE: Existing key memory positions will be overwritten.
Switch ignition ON. Use key not fitted with remote control. Manually lock vehicle using key. Using first key, press unlock button once (programs memory position 1). Alarm horn sounds once to indicate signal received. Wait 6 seconds. Press unlock button once to confirm programming. Vehicle unlocks. Programming mode deactivated. Switch ignition OFF. To program remaining keys into memory positions 2, 3 and 4. Carry out the complete procedure below for each key: Switch ignition ON. Use key not fitted with remote control. Manually lock vehicle using key. Press unlock button at 1 second intervals, as follows: Twice for memory position 2 (second key). Three times for memory position 3 (third key). Four times for memory position 4 (fourth key). Alarm horn sounds once every time unlock button is pressed, to indicate signal received. Wait 6 seconds. Press unlock button once to confirm programming. Vehicle unlocks. Programming mode deactivated. Switch ignition OFF.
NOTE: Ignition MUST be switched OFF between each key programming procedure

How do i shut off the alarm on my Audi 100 s 1994?

Ok this is audi own alarm and was fitted as standard, alarm is found in the back of the car, and is oporated when you lock the car with the key. So it could be a control box fault.

Locking mechanism is broken on driver's door.

If the valet key is not programmed to the Immobilzer system, it should start the car, but it will shut off. This is only if the car has an Immobilizer system. If your locksmith unlocked the car without the door key, then use the key to unlock and disarm the alarm in the door. If you triggered the alarm, the starter will be disabled till a unlock signal from a remote or the door is actually unlocked with a key. If that cannot be done, your only solution right now is to tow it to the dealership and have them make a master key and check the door locks for proper lock/unlock commands so the alarm will arm and disarm correctly.

Where is the catch??

the button is in the drivers door frame when the door is open there should be a button next to the locking catch. if this does not work the two flaps either side of the hood cover can be lifted up and a hex head allen key can be used to unlock the catches either side of the cover. i've had a problem with the button not working due to electrical problems locking the boot as the cover will not lift with the button if the boot is not locked to prevent damage.

Door lock

Not sure if you are talking about when you use the key, but if you are try turnning the key twice to the unlock all of the other doors. It may work.
