Suggest naval jelly. It will damage the paint that it touches but will remove the rust. Apply according to the directions on the bottle.

Repair coil spring

Remove all the components, drill out the spot welds for the rusted panels, probably about 100 of them. Get new panels and weld them back in. Very difficult procedure and somewhere in the expert skill level. Suggestion is get another car and turn that one in for scrap metal.

My 1994 Lincoln Mark Vlll rear window have humps or bubbles around the outside edge.is there a fix for this problem?

If it is in the glass- no. If it is around the glass or trim, remove trim and remove rust, treat/seal the rust and repaint. Use care as back glass usually is tempered instead of laminated.

Wish to tackle rust spots and areas on steel boat

To stop rust, the best thing to do is chemically convert it.remove loose paint and rust with a sanding disc, then treat the remaining surface rust with phosphoric acid/water solution(the acid is available at lowes or home depot pretty cheap). It converts iron oxide to iron phosphate(which is stable and paintable).Take a paper towel soked in the solution and stick it down on fairly heavily rusted areas to sit overnight, maybe also followed by saran wrap to keep it wet.

05 Reo Trunk fills up with water. Gasket replaced but didn't solve problem.

After it rains have you noticed and water drips that might give you a clue as to where the water is coming from? It might be leaking around the base of the back window. Does the water come in only when the car has been driving or does it come in while the car is parked? If the water is coming in while its parked then there is a hole somewhere on top, probably around the back window, and is running into the trunk. When its raining or after it has rained look in the trunk and see if you can see water droplets and this should give you a clue where its coming in. You can also hose the car down yourself. This might be a good idea to try when the trunk is dry so you can see what does and doesn't allow water in the car. Try running water on one side at a time. If it only seems to come in after you have been driving the car, it may very well be coming in around the wheel wells or around the gas fill pipe. Look inside the trunk and see if there are any rust spots and use a flash light to see if you can see any holes through the metal. take a close look around the sides on the floor of the trunk and see if there are any pieces of rust accumulating, this might help direct your search for the hole. You may also want to look behind the tail lights and see if there is rust damage. Check the seals around the tail lights and see if its getting in that way. Look behind the licence plate for rust damage as well. Try those things and see how it goes. Good luck.

LEAKING WATER INTO THE TRUNK WHEN IT RAINS...WHERE IS IT COMING IN? ALL RUBBER GASKET AROUND TRUNK LID IS FINE.

has the car been in any accidents? if so, it could have a small crack in the seam sealer of the panel. Lock for any spots of sealer and see if it has a visible crack or hole. Also, if your back glass is leaking at the bottom it could find its way into your trunk. Also re-check the gaskets, the get flimsy with old age and may look fine but not be touching everywhere still. Check and see if one spot of the gaskets is dirtier then the rest. This is usually a telltale sign of water or air getting through.

How difficult is it to cange the front rotors?

depending if you have the tools to do the job and pb blaster lock tite and white and dark grease for a beginer it has a rating of 7-8. if you work on cars and know what your doing, then its easy.. first thing is to remove the calapers then remove the calaper mounting bracket spray around the studs and bolts with pb blaster also around the hub and tap around the whole area around rotor dont hit the studs (with hammer) to break the rust buildup this should break rotor free then you may want to clean the rust off so that the rotors seat properly remove and clean new rotors with brake cleaner to get off the film off them (shipping rust retardent) and wipe. spray bolt holes to clear any rust left while removing old rotor and braket and dry. place a small ring of lock tite on bolts holding caliper brackets and let stand till harden or almost hard. replace new rotors install bracket/s and bolts (torq to ? 80foot lb) while replacing rotors replace brake pads, replacing just rotors will over heat new rotors in spots and warp rotors!!! make sure you pull the pins that retain the calipers to the bracket and add light coat of white grease to pins so calipers slides easy and evenly

2006 Dodge grand caravan rear rotor won't come off?

Take a hammer and hit the rotor on the flat spots around the lug nuts. You will probably see some rust around where the rotor meets the hub. This corrosion is what is holding the rotor on. You can take a thin screw driver and try to scrape some of the rust away too. Use wd40 and spray it on the hub. Sometimes you need to hit it hard.

Rubbing sound in rearend bearings

Check the rear abs sensors. Where they mount to the backing plate, rust builds up and pushes the sensors to hit the tone rings. You will have to remove the sensors and clean the rust and apply a anti-rust compound around the mounting hole.
