SOURCE: please explain hyundai terracan 2002 fault codes

P1730 Front Speed Sensor - Low Input
P1732 Rear Speed Sensor - Low Input
P1734 Speed Sensor Reference - Low
These are all references to Electronic Stability Control or ABS systems. If there's no problem with wiring, then you could safely assume the speed sensors are bad.

SOURCE: side light bulb change on hyundai terracan

hi there
the solution is simple,
you only need to undo the screw on top of the side light/indicator. then facing the head light place a flat headed screw driver under the bottom lip of side light. the bottom of the lihgt is on a small push fit stud, use a sponge or cloth to protect your bumper paint work then just apply pressure gently to lever side light out towards you, It will come dont worry, you may then change your bulbs if you wish remove the whole light unit you will see the bottom bolt as soon as you release the side light. to replace just push back into place then replace screw. whole job takes about five minutes

hope this helps kevan hildred

Does the Rocker covers in a Hyundai 2002 terracan highlander require a torque wrench to tighten the bolts after the gasket is replaced and if so what is the sequence? Same question regarding fuel inlet...

the FSM covers all this, buy one, or log in to alldata.com
yes, all bolts on the engine are set at a spec. torque.
you didnt state , engine size option, so nobody can answer, exactly.
but all bolts all all parts, should be staged down, to the spec.torque.
some bolts 6mm need to be set to 80-100 inch/lbs. not FOOT.
and if you exceed that much, they strip or snap, making an easy job
1000x more hard.
usually sequence maps (off and on differ) are limited to head bolts and cam cap bolts. but not always, that is why reading the FSM on your car
and your engine options is best. and all those warning there.
include steps telling you to use RTV sealant at special places.

alldata.com log in , read the engine chapter, its all there , all the time.

What is the next step in diagnosing our Terracans electrical problem

code p1123 refers to long term fuel trim--additive--mixture too rich===causes-- HO2S--fuel pressure --fuel system---mechanical fault---ECM
check all wires and connections. With the mechanical fault I would be revisiting all the items you removed to get to the rocker cover to ensure that all the hoses and wires were correctly replaced and that the gasket has not been mis -fitted or squashed out from under the cover at some point

No compression and turns over fast, but wont start on terracan 2002

Have you performed a compression check on all cylinders? Possible reasons for no compression are: Blown head gasket, No valve clearance. Valves stuck in open position. Collapsed piston rings from extreme overheating of engine.

Serpentine belt squeeling

To replace the sepentine belt: Get a 9/16 socket with a extension. Look under the car and look for the oil filter. Next to the oil filter you will see a bolt. Use the sock and losen the bolt. This will losen the tensioner. You will notice the bolt coming out, push the bolt up and the tensioner will allow you to remove the belt.
