Check the inside of your driver side door. It will have the recommended tire size/specs along with pressure recommendations. Including your vehicle year, make, and model would help in the event of future issues.
Vehicle Year (2000) Vehicle Make (Chevy) Vehicle Model (Caprice) Vehicle Engine Size (5.0L) at a minimum. Also, does the vehicle seem to crank faster than normal (like there is no resistance in the motor)?
Most any 12 volt battery with sufficient cold cranking amps should work however it is best to buy one that is recommended for your vehicle. In this way the physical size, amperage rating & terminal connectors will all match up to your factory specifications.
you need a min. of 650 cold cranking amps. 700-800 is recommended. you can take it to an auto parts store and replace it. they can look up all that will fit your vehicle and show you what is recommended.
HI. Thisvehicle only requires a maximum of 750 cranking Amps; ((640 Cold)). A regular name brand Gold-Duralast 12 volt cell will be sufficient for this vehicles needs.
if you dont plan on adding any aftermarket lights, amps,or power mods just get the recommended group size any place that sales batteries can give you the correct one.
If i'm not mistaken that battery group size should be a group 65 battery..you would want a battery with at least 700 cca's(cold cranking amps) you can expect to pay a good $90 for a fair priced battery for this vehicle....Your local autoparts store will have the exact application for your vehicle......happy battery hunting!! hope I helped!!!
there is a universal tool that has both sizes in it, it is made by KD tools ,and yes I have removed these clips with a couple of "jewelers" screwdrivers
There should be a sticker on the door near the latch with tire sizes recommended for that vehicle. last # is wheel size (14, 15, etc) This is also the size on the tire itself (205-75-15 is a 15" wheel) Then all you need is to match the bolt pattern. Any wheel retailer knows correct size or buy from someone who has same vehicle. Don't exceed recommended tire sizes unless you intend to also change speedometer to match the new final drive ratio.
