My Dell model K12A venue 11 pro 5130 laptop has no audio, what do I have to do to repair it?

I started to fail in the mini HDMI connection and then all the audio went out. YouTube videos cannot be heard.

Go into settings and check the sound card and also MUTE at bottom right of the screen 'Mixer Controls'.. Also check the plug on the back and try a set of external speakers or headphones.

Since the VIDEO (Picture) and Audio (sound) are Two separate and distinct functions (although they work in concert with one another) you can have either sound with a picture or visa-verse. If the audio is self-contained, meaning sound comes from internal speakers within the Monitor, then the problem can be a defective Audio section or short on the circuit board.
If the Speakers are the Honda sound system, then there could be a disconnect between the Monitor and the Honda sound system.

ok i presume your radio works but no sound possible loose wire

I had the same problem. Everything worked except the sound. There is a small button next to the CD player that is a reset button. Press that and the audio came back. You have to reset your presets but at least the sounds works.

if you have your instructions, the best solution is to reset to factory default, the settings are designed for optimal performance and sound

got to control panel then system open it go to hardware profile. look for sound card try to click update driver.
