Have you checked the fuse ? if ok check that power is getting to and from switch , if ok check that power is getting to the motor , will have to remove the switch cover etc let me know how you get on

should be a seal issue, not mechanical. Is the roof opening/closing properly? If so, while open examine the weatherstripping and look for damage or abnormal wear. with power roofs, sometimes the movement wears down the sealing abilty pending on its usage or debris hiding inside.

Your best bet with any radio install is to wire both the positive and negative leads directly to the battery. While it might be convenient to use an existing, unused +12V feed, the interference any stray RF power can cause to existing vehicle systems is very unpredictable.

Best bet is to trace across the front of the headliner and go down the passenger side "A" post. From there you should be able to make an easy hole for the power leads adjacent to the radio antenna wire. This is the wire that comes out of the firewall and loops directly into the passenger's side front fender.

Also, be cautious with your mounting and drilling, as some discos have an ultrasonic sensor for the alarm system in the center roof area.

there are connectors on the back side of the switch panel on the bottom side of the seat, but the plastic trim panel is a pain to take off. you can check to see that all is still plugged in and nothing came unplugged accidentally. odds are that your module will need to have some updated software downloaded by the dealer. i feel your pain though, i was one of many of land rover's technician layoffs!

looked in my bible and i cannot find this number but the later models are all under the passenger side dash behind the glove box but some are showing in the middle of the bulkhead under the wiper mechanism ,hope this helps

My 2008 Land Rover LR2 HSE key fob won't

So did you fix your problem? I'm now having the same exact problem. The key simply doesn't work; HOWEVER, I know the key is not dead. I also have a 2008 LR2 and there is no "Battery" in the key fob. I compained countless times to the dealer that the key would just stop unlocking doors on me. They told me the battery charges when it is in the ignition but there is no battery to replace. They recommeded I rotate my main and spare key to make sure they're both always charged. Well, I do, and same problem.

This problem started one year ago and I complained that I should not have to spend $500 for them to replace the key... because a 3-year-old key SHOULD NOT be dying. And not to mention, a large chunk of that $500 is for them to "program" the key.

I have an appointment on Friday at a certified Land Rover repair shop but NOT the dealer. The shop I called said the '08 LR2 has "huge key issues." I have had it with Land Rover and their lack of interest in helping deal with the problem, which I might add is clearly THEIR problem, if so many are having similar problems.

I will post an update after my appointment Friday.
