You need to have the system checked for what the fault code is...are you sure it's the drivers side air bag or the drivers side, side air bag(located in the seat back?)They're could be a problem with the wiring under the seat.

SOURCE: 94 grand marquis cruise control does not work and

Hello dogjasper.
Both of these issues will be caused by a part under the steering wheel called a "clockspring".
This part allows the transfer of electrical energy through a plastic spring with wire leads impregnated into it.
The plastic over time will crack and the wire along with it.
The clockspring carries current for both the air bag and your cruise control.
The steering wheel will need to be removed to access this part to be replaced.

My 1997 mercury grand marquis air bag light is blinking code 41 how do i fix it or find the problem

Code 41 could be a few things.
Most likely a front crash sensor or the "clock spring" under the steering wheel which transmits power to the steering wheel and drivers air bag while still allowing steering wheel rotation.

I have a 1998 chrysler concorde. The airbag light on the dash stays on and my horn doesnt work. How do i fix this without costing me tons of money?

Could be a wiring problem or the clockspring in the steering column.
You would need to pull the steering wheel and test the circuits.

Drivers airbag codes for 2003 mercury grand marquis

Some of the air bag computers are mounted under the driver's seat. If it is, than the wiring can be dislodged by rear seat passenger's feet. If so try repluging in the wiring while the car is shut off.

2001 pontiac grand am air bag module reset

Yes!!! You can replace it yourself.(Dont let others fool you into paying extra or telling you otherwise.)
-This is for pontiac grand ams 1999-2005 only.
-There are no frontal airbag impact sensors nor are there belt tensioners.
-The SRS system consists of only the (driver airbag) ,(passanger airbag),and the (airbag control module) in 1999-2005 grand ams.

If you crash/wrecked and airbags deployed you will need.
-Driver and Passanger airbags
-Airbag control module

You can buy cheap airbags from a local junkyard any year from 1999-2005 will fit.
You can also find an airbag control module for cheap at your local junk yard BUT YOU MUST FIND ONE WITH THE SAME (PART NO.) AND (SERV NO.) AS THE ONE YOUR REPLACING.The (part no.) and (serv no.) should be at top left of airbag control module. However it does (Not) have to match numbers under barcode or the numbers at the far bottom right of airbag control module.

After you get both airbags and airbag module
-Disconnect car Battery
-Replace airbags
-Replace airbag module (under passanger seat)
-Double check all connections and connect battery.

Congradulations!Your airbags should be back online.

Notes: Two torx 35 head screws hold the driver airbag, access is through two holes behind steering column.
To remove passanger airbag you have to remove glovebox it uses (7mm)screws.After you remove you will see a pair of (10mm)screws holding airbag.
To remove airbag control module First remove passanger seat 2(15mm).Then after removing you will notice a raises area kinda like a vertical bump.Take a razor blade to your carpet and cut it to explose the module underneath.
The airbag module is held by three screws depending on the year of your car it varies. Most likely 3 (10mm).

1995 Mercury Grand marquis airbag fuse 10 keep blowing and airbag light flash code 21

#10 is the airbag fuse, but the problem is most likely a ground fault. I have a 1996 Grand Marquis doing the same thing. You will probably find your problem exist within the air bag module. The module was stolen out of mine, so I tried disconnecting the airbag instead. This did not correct the problem. Locate your module (under passenger seat I believe) and check it out first. I hope this helps.

My rear air suspension on my 2001 mercury grand marquis blew and now my mechanic says that he has to order the part from ford and each bag is $500.00 so minimum cost is $1200. Does this sound right?

You need to listen to the mechanic in this situation. If you really believe this is wrong, you can get a second opinion from a different mechanic. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!
