My 2005 mustang convertible passenger side back window will not roll up ?

I can't get the back window to roll up on my 2005 mustang convertible. I've tried to roll it up and pull it up by hand at the sometime, but it goes back down after getting less then half way up.

SOURCE: Window motor rolls down but not up.

I think that the switch itself is losing contact. By switch I mean the button you are depressing to roll up the window.

SOURCE: passenger window doesn't go up, it only goes down.

Unfortunately, this is a hit or miss problem with your generation of Taurus window motors. I am assuming it is Power windows. If it is not Power windows it could have come of track and/or hit a snag. To get a better look you will need to remove the door panel by the screws in the door handle,etc.. and clips around the frame of the door panel. Once removed, there will be a a few places to see what is actually happening when you try to roll the window up.. If it is power windows the true work is rolling UP the window,as gravity is what rolls it down. If you SEE the motor spinning but the window is stationary, you have a snag. If it isnt spinning you can get a new motor from a dealer or even a junkyard. If it is Manual windows.. You SHOULD HOPEFULLY see where and how the window is catching and not rolling up.. hope this helps and good luck!

SOURCE: mustang rear window...fuse or motor?

first check the fuse.if its good then check the window motor by pressing the button and if you dont hear the motor going theres your problem, needs to be replaced.  unfortunatly the motor isnt sold by itself you got to buy the window regulator. here is a pic. of the part29159f3.jpg

SOURCE: 04 taurus Power Windows, passanger side goes down, not up, new mo

It is most likely the switch itself. since the down works that means that there is power going to the switch. So, the up position switch is probably worn out.

Crown Vic 2005. Driver side window won't work, up or down. Rear passenger window on driver side works down with the master control but won't roll back up. Rolls up only with rear door control. Why?

This is most often caused by a bad master switch on the driver's side. It's the one that's used most often and most exposed to rain. Also, all the window wiring runs through the master switch, so if there's a fault it can affect multiple windows. See this post on window issues.https://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/window-goes-up-but-not-down/

Passenger window wont roll down with either switch but motor is good and getting power

New switch for the passenger side. The drivers side switch may be wired through the passengers side switch witch will make it not work if the passengers side switch is bad. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

I have problem with My 1994 Ford Mustang windows...they need help rolling up and down. When I push switch I can hear the motor run and a friend said he took apart and they are not off track. Also when all...

I have a 1990 Mustang with power windows. When i first got the car the windows rolled up and down fine, then the passenger one started going up slower than the driver one. When i needed to fix my power locks i had them change the window motor in the passenger side. Now the passenger window rolls up faster than the driver one. The problem is the window motors.......and about the motors still running: the switches probably need to be replaced as well. I can almost guarantee this will solve your problem:)
