Where exactly is the orifice tube located on a 1987 Chevrolet G30 van?

best advice is the method i would use to located the orifice tube in the 2000 chevy venture. check the automotive repair book section in your local library. Most libraries have repair manuals on their automotive shelf section. find the a/c manual for your year and model car. make a copy of the page that has the information you need. you will need to make a copy because the library will not let those manuals be checked out. you might want to google for the location of the orifice tube location. I hope this helps.

Its a liquid line an start from condenser to evaporator. Following the small line you will find connection before the evaporator and the pipe have marks about 3 in.from the connection. Evacuate the freon and disconnect the pipe. You will need special tool to remove the office tube or nidell nose plier. Twist and pull till the orfice tube is out. If the tube brake insert long wood screw and pull . Worst case ask your auto parts store for repair kit. Is 5in. Replacement set. Cut the pipe and install the new one. Very carefully follow the direction of the new orfice tube. Vacuum the system and recharge.

Locate the dipstick tube to check the trans oil and remove the dip stick and put the oil down the tube. Replace the dip stick and check the level when you think you have enough in the tranny. Hope this helps.

Normally the low side is the line from the dryer or round unit. Most recharge unit will only fit on the low side now days unless you are using actual gages to fill with. Hope this helps.

My 1984 G30 Diesel has two filters. One is under the van below the side door on the passenger side. The other is under the engine cover inside the Van mounted to the engine itself it is rectangular.

On 1993 Chevrolet Truck G30 1 ton Van 8cyl the Engine Control Computer is located in front seat area, driver side, mounted under driver seat.
