Have an '04 Seville. N.S. engine. Surging at idle. If I disconnect the IAC it runs almost right. Put in new IAC and still surges.

Hello. It seems your Cadillac is getting too much air into its engine; causing it to 'surge'. This could be due to a malfunctioning/defective vacuum brake booster. If your Cadillac's catalytic converter is 'clogging'; this will cause the engine to 'surge' too. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

Battery installed backwards at store

I would have this checked out to make sure they did not damage the computer, the check engine light may have been due to battery disconnect , the idle problem may be due to the same reason, it may need to relearn idle and other sensor inputs that were lost due to battery removal and fuse popping, this should take a day or two of driving it.
if you are still having a problem after that then have it checked.

My car surges at idle in drive position

Clean the airflow sensor. There is a special spray to do this. DO NOT use carburetor cleaner. It will damage the sensor.

Landcruiser 100 vx, 2003 model with engine number 1HD-FTE is not starting, I've found out that the fuel pump, starter, battery are all functioning well. Where next should I look at.

My idle kicks on and off when im on the brakes sitting at lights

Car may be running lean, I would check the air filter, and replace if it seems excessively dirty (should be done every few oil changes) and check the 'pipe' that connects the air intake to the engine. If there is a crack or hole, it may cause your truck to run lean. Also, if your check engine light is on, and it is the oxygen sensor, a faulty sensor could give bad feedback to the system and suffocate your engine, making it run too wet and causing it to stall when idling.
