the p1000 is a system readiness code meaning the car is checking itself..it means its not finished etc but once it has the code will change to p1111..meaning system check completed, the c1165 is a abs or wheel speed code, check the wheel where this code is originating
P1111 is not a fault code. It is a special designator Jaguar uses meaning system ready, drive cycles completed after the last fault event. P1000, on the other hand, means system not ready, or drive cycles not completed after the last recorded fault event.
Some OBD II Basics - All P0xxx codes are generic and uniform across all manufacturers and mean the same on every car. All P1xxx codes are manufacturer specific codes. You cannot use a generic code chart to analyze P1xxx codes for a Jaguar.
Next time your car displays an engine fault light, try reading the codes then. If you have a CEL illuminated and the only code read is P1000 or P1111, then you probably have a fault that generic code readers cannot see. Could be a chassis code, for example.
One last thing - Neither P1000, nor P1111 can be erased.
If the Dianosis test Code P1000 is flagged after DTCs have been cleared, all engine management OBD diagnostic monitor drive cycles HAVE NOT BEEN COMPLETED. See http://www.bluejag.co.uk for further details on this
It shows that your fault management system has been recently reset. It will not bring on the engine management light. For more info on fault codes goto http://www.bluejag.co.uk/
You can only retrieve the vcm read out code when that car was run, turned off and then the ignition is on(not running), then oush VCM and the code will flash - "fuel failure 69" or something like that. (SOME CODES LIKE 69 ARE ERRONEOUS CODES AND SHOULD BE RESET)What you can do is disconnect the battery for 45 seconds to reset the code and if it comes back on then there is an issue.
You can email me the code and I will tell you what it is [email protected]
BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RADIO CODE, IF NOT THEN EMAIL ME AND I WILL SHOW YOU ANOTHER WAY TO RESET THE LIGHT.
