I have a 2000 buick lesabre. The fix engine soon

I have a 2000 buick lesabre. The fix engine soon light came on and the code is for a faulty camshaft position sensor. I replaced the sensor and the service engine light went off. Well, the service engine light came back on a few hours later. The code was for the camshaft position sensor again. The car seems to run fine but it did stall once after the service engine light came back on, but the car started up again with no problem. Please help.

It NEVER was the camshaft sensor! Unless, you've removed the engine lately, which I doubt.
RUN to Advance Auto Parts and buy a can of "SeaFoam" and add to your gas tank per instructions...drive at least 100 miles and the problem should go away...IF it doesn't you'll have to replace the O2 sensors in the exhaust system...Any good mechanic should be able to do this for much less $$ than the dealership DO NOT go to the dealer for repairs!
Good Luck

Symptoms camshaft sensors

your 98 buick is equipped with an obd2 diagnostic system, a faulty cam sensor will throw a trouble code causing a check engine or service engine soon light. however cylinder misfire or poor signal to coil pack/packs would be a symptom if for some reason the obd2 or ecm was faulty and not throwing a code

Service engine soon light is flashing

Have the car scanned for the code's origin. This could mean that the engine will not work as well as it should, and could cause driveability isues.

A constant service engine soon light means that a hard code exists. A flashing light means that an intermittent code exists, but it could become a hard code very quickly.

My 2000 buick lesabre hesitates when i hit the gas

You need to get the computer scanned to see what the "trouble code" is. The light is on because the computer found an error.
