SOURCE: I have a 1997 Ford Taurus right-hand drive

Hello! I am sending two diagrams...#1 is O2 sensor location and #2 is a vacuum diagram...Before you spend a lot of money replacing O2 sensors lets eliminate other possible causes of heater circuit failure...O2's have heater circuits to bring them up to high temperature quickly so the computer (PCM) will have close control...I would suspect poor grounding, or connector contact corrosion...If you have an ohm meter...Set it on the X10 scale...Measure from center of the negative battery post to the chassis (bare metal)...And then to the engine block...Record both readings...Radio Shack sells a no-touch contact cleaner called DEOXIT...Spray a very small amount on all O2 connectors (male and female)...Oxidation is chemically removed...Re-connect...
Check all vacuum lines for broken, cracked, loose or collapsed...Send results....Guru...Saaileraa07bbb.gif

SOURCE: trany does not shift right after coming to a stop

Hi,

I have found the meaning of all the codes that come up. Refer the blog link mentioned bellow:

http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/557875-need-guidance-with-obd2-codes.html

The reasons are very self explainatory.

Thank You

My friend this sounds like a catalytic converter problem. A number one symptom in the case of a "burned up" catalyst is loss of power or as you put it bogged down. Try disconnecting at the flange if not too much trouble or simply remove the O2 sensor downstream and see if pressure changes (old trick)

SOURCE: problem codes on trans p1747 p0750 p0755 p0743

code P1747 short or failure in EPC solenoid circuit ( EPC = electronic pressure control solenoid )

code P0743 TCC solenoid circuit failure ( TCC = torque convertor clutch solenoid )

code P0750 SS1 solenoid circuit failure ( SS1 = shift solenoid 1, first gear )

code P0755 SS2 solenoid circuit failure ( SS2 = shift solenoid 2, 2nd gear )

check the wiring harness going to the transmission sounds like it may have come loose from the holding clamps and has gotten into the exhust it would be hard to belive that all the solenoids failed at the same time but stranger things have happened. if the wiring looks ok check the plugis on the transmission if they look ok its time to go inside the transmission.

My 2000 F150 just passed emmsion 2 weeks ago let my son drive it started to run bad cheek engine lite came on codes were P0743,P0755,P1747,P0443,P1451,P0135,P0141,P0155,P0161and P1409?Help

with that many fault codes each one with an ECM as a possible cause , I suggest that you check items like battery voltage and charge rate, ground wires and terminals , harness connections at the ECM for water and corrosion
or substitute the ECM with a know serviceable unit to see if the fault codes come back

Codes po135 po741

code P0135 heated O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 , heater circuit ( front O2 sensor driver side ) replace O2 sensor

code P0741 this is a transmission code TCC ( torque converter clutch ) stuck off. most likely you need to replace the TCC switch.
