How are the plastic cowl pieces removed from a 94 Ford Escort LX?

The heater blower motor filled with water because the drain holes under the cowl are clogged, and water backed up into the fresh air intake. I need to remove the cowl pieces to unclog the drain holes. Thank you!

The drain is a runoff from the outside wiper grill, the open area under neath the wiper grill is for outside air to suct in from your a/c blower. The only way to repair it is to the body shop this will take alot of $$$$$$$$. but for me I'll take a rubber glue tube, cut a piece of rubber inter tube and apply the glue patch it from the inside............where the water is coming in. Water on passanger side comin in, when going through a high pressure carwash! So had to change the Blower motor resistor because or the water pourring in! Is there a hole beneath the wiper motor

Hello. Welcome to FixYa. Please allow me to help out here.

Yes, there is a hole under the wiper motor. This is where the heater/defroster gets fresh air from.

If you are getting water in the heater box, the drains that keep the water from backing up, and entering the hole, are blocked. You will need to have the cowl panle removed, and any debris under the cowl removed and cleaned out.

In the past I have had major water leaks in my 2005 grand prix. I never knew wehre the water came from. Now, I can hear water under my car shifting whenever I turn a corner. Where is it coming from??

Do you have a sun roof? I imagine you do.

Under the roof cover there is a tube on each side of the car that drains the sunroof area to the ground. Either a tube has been disconnected or come loose. This will cause severe mold and mildew problems if not fixed soon.
