SOURCE: A/C not blowing cold air

Hi daveyrichard,
Just a guess....it sounds as if your leaking refridgerant gas from your AC unit. Maybe you didn;t need to change the compressor. the leakage could be on either the high pressure or low pressure side....Something that may help is to mix up some soapy water, use plenty soap, then sponge the mixture around all the joints that you can see....go as far as you can and as close to the fire wall between the cabin and the engine compartment....With the AC turned on, look out for bubbles....If you see them, thats where your leakage is.....Hope that this imfo helps you to solve your problem and keep your cool.

For 2000 bmw 323i the fuse box under the hood . What are these fuses for? I'm getting a short I don't know what burning the fuse

All BMW's have spare fuses near or in the fuse box, so they are not in any circuit, only the ones in a row or two are actively protecting from shorts. If you are having a problem with a specific circuit all BMW's have fuse chart in cover of fuse boxes, whether under dash or in trunk area, so if you have a short, check the fuse for that circuit. There are too many fuses to guess at.

Why are all gauges on dash not working.only fuel guage

Usually when these Gauges go out it is because of a faulty BCM( Body Control Module) The BCM controls all dash instruments . If it is the BCM you will have to get a dealership to flash the new one. Before doing that though check all fuses under hood and inside. It should say gauges or BCM

2011 bmw 328i

If the temperature control is on cool....sounds like you have other problems with AC. ( compressor not working, needs R134,) Check under the hood for a box that has fuses in it, their are also relays in it. Look for the relay marked AC.

2000 BMW 323i - new clicking sound under the hood. Is there a common problem for this that I should investigate first?

Is the click engine speed related or is it a slow, regular (electrical) click?
Speed-related click could be many things - some of them expensive. No way to diagnose from here.
Slow click may be the heater valve. They sometimes sit and cycle with an annoying slow click when there is air in the cooling system.
