check the engine to body ground strap. located rear top of engine screwed to firewall Remove,clean, and resecure.

PO420 code tells you the catalytic converter is not reaching the proper temperature .. that is measured by the back oxygen sensor (just behind the CAT ... make sure the heat shield is in place (in cold weather) .. you can check for a rattle in the cold CAT (thats bad) .. the rear O2 sensor can be bad or you could have a bad catalytic converter or one thats on it way to being bad .. there are some tests a mechanic can do .. 1. a back pressure test 2. measure the temperature of the CAT surface .. it should be around 225 deg F (after warmup) .. a non contact (IR) thermometer is handy for this .. make sure the pipe behind the CAT and the muffler are not leaking ..some "high flow rate " replacement mufflers will cause the trouble ..

I would only assume the alternator is the problem,if there is not enough voltage being supplied,the accessories will not work,or work properly.

Could be a problem with the wiring for the injector or the coil.
Or even the crank sensor.
The computer "sees" the drop in RPM to peg a cylinder for a miss.
