There is a draw somewhere. Places to look .... glove box light, under hood light to see if they go off when they're supposed to. Hook up an ammeter between the + post of the battery and the + cable. start pulling fuses one at a time while watching the meter until you find which fuse stopped the draw.

SOURCE: battery removal on a 2004 GMC Envoy

The battery is on the right side behind the fuse box. You need a metric set to undo the 3 screws. Theres one that attaches to the body, one to the bar that goes along the top, and theres one on the left side below the vacuum hose and air induction. After you've taken out those three, you should lift the whole thing out(battery and shroud) together. It's hard to take the shroud off before you lift the battery out. After that, you have to pry the shoud off the battery. The two terminals in the back make it hard. Then just go to any auto parts store and they'll give you a new one.

loose battery connection, or you left your lights or something else on then you got your jump. on the drive home the battery had a chance to charge enough to start up 10 hours later.

How do I get the key out of the ignition switch on a 2004 GMC Envoy 4.2?

Got a new vehicle Joe. Just what you need with the gas prices as high as they are!! Did you get rid of the 1998 Ford Contour?
Foot on the brake and go though the full shift range and then back to park. That should release the ignition lock. It appears to be a known issue. Check out the videos

05 gmc envoy denali car was running replaced old batt now car wont start

Hey Stephen,,does the car turn over or is it completely dead?

If the engine, lights, horn don't work it your new battery.
Test or have tested, your new batteries charge and its performance
under load.

If the battery is okay and all the connections are tight and secure
and still no start..provide some more info on the no start vs no crank
question. Does the engine turn over?

Your owners manual might also provide some notes on changing the battery.

Try another repair shop. Someone must connect some measurment equipment to your car, to find what is wrong. That is the fastest and most best way to solve this.

Gmc envoy driver windows not workingMy truck gmc envoy 06 so left side switch not work click look like dead so how would fix it??

Most popular problem here is the whole switch assembly may be burnt due to water intrusion. There IS a fairly new re-call on these switches. When door is open while raining, water can get into the switches and short out. I've had this happen to me personally, switch melted and can cause a fire. I took the switchout, just pops out, unplug the electrical connector. I got another one from the junkyard, about $75. I got my recall notice after I performed the repair. Call the dealer and ask about the recall. They take the switchout, replace it, and put a coating onto new switch, to protect from water intrusion.

your alternator may be the problem here. When the AC is on, the motor has to work harder, and the fans need eletricity to spin (unless they are powered by a belt, unsure). If the alternator can't keep up the battery will die.
