2000 minivan emision control systen leak

P0455 is a large emision system leak. A common problem with this is that the evaporative emision vent valve located up and behind the driver side rear wheel is malfunctioning or leaking fuel vapor. Have it checked and see if it solves the problem.

it sounds like a lambda sensor issue, the lambda sensor is located on the exhaust manifold, it controls the emisions, it also controls the air/fuel mixture to control the emisions, if it is faulty it could cause the engine to surge like you describe

most likley a vacuum leak. open the hood and listen for a hissing sound. If no vacum leak can be found then your going to have to get it looked at using a diagnostic scanner.

fill your radiator (with water if the weather isnt cold so you save money) and start your car. Pay attention to where the fluid drips out at this will help you pinpoint the location of the leak.

Chevy made some weak intake gaskets on 3.1 and 3.4. My guess is that the intake gasket is weak and/or leaking and it is letting pressure out somewhere. At idle maybe the system pressure is to little to push hot coolant into the heater core.

no this is to let you know that there is a problem in the emissions control system,eithr a O2 sensor,evap system or some leak,best thing to do is have it scan for the emision system.

po442 is evap emission control system leak (small) 1 of the lines for emissions is leaking. po455 is-- emission control system leak (large). turn off light with code scanner after it is fixed.
