A/c works great but when I want warmer air, nothing happens. I turn the dial on the electronic controls and no hot air, just cold

On vacuum operated systems: The dial temp switch or vacuum motor is defective. You may have a vacuum leak or loose vacuum hose connection.
On electrically operated systems: The dial temp switch, electric door position motor, blend door position sensor, photo diode sunload sensor or the ATC control module is defective. Check for loose wires at connection points on the motor.

I checked the connections...but they all look pretty secure with retaining clips and all. My car ATC type of controls and the display reads perfect when I turn the temp dials to hot. I also hear changes in the sound of the air coming thru the vents as I turn from hot to cold and vice versa. I checked under the hood fora possible heater core bypass ( since I bought the car used) but no bypass was done on it. I can the hoses going into the heater core and the temperature does get slightly cool warm when the dials are turned to hot but no hot air. modes work perfect too (defrost, floor, mix, and front). Any other ideas?

SOURCE: 1997 Bonneville SSE, when the heater is turned on, only cold air

you may have a failed blend air door motor/actuator. this part will regulate the amount of air from the heater core depending on the temp setting on your electronic climate control unit. if it has failed, it will be stuck at the temp that it was last set at when it quit working. it is also possible the heater core may be plugged up, but using the gm recommended dexcool coolant and flushing it out every 5 years, it should not be plugged up. you can pull the 2 heater hoses off the heater core on the passenger side of the engine compartment firewall and see if the heater core is the problem. caution-do not use a high pressure air hose to blow through the heater core as this could damage it and cause a leak!

SOURCE: 2002 Pontiac Montana, No Heat, I put the temp control on

the cabel from the heat dial to the heater box behind the dash could be snaped or jamed thus not opperating the lever which operates the flap which open and closes the heat box next to the matrix. or if your coolant is brown in colour it could be your matrix is clogged with sedament and needs flushing out. or it could be your water pump not pumping coolant round your engine or it could be a knackerd thermostat i hope these will help you id start with the easyest first thermostat

SOURCE: 94 pontiac bonneville... eats alternators, stalls

i have a 94 pontiac bonneville that stalls while driving. It seems to die always when I drive the car for more than 20 minutes. (During traffic) It recently has had a tune up (oil, oil filter, plug, wires) Replace module and fuel filter as well. I have had two different mechanics look at my car and no codes showed up for them. They mentioned fuel pump and crank sensor, which they CAN'T guarantee this will fix the problem. I've done some research online and have read that people with same problem have replaced both and this did not fix the problem. Any other suggestions??????

Why wont the heater blow out hot air in my 1995 pontiac bonneville. it will only blow cool air

If the heater hoses are getting hot, the problem may be a faulty blend door under the dash. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the vents.

Have a small amount of heat comming out of my 2002 montana van

Sounds like a blend door is not working.
The blend doors are controlled by small electric motors and direct air flow thru the heater and ac evaporator as well as the vents.
The blend doors would need to be checked for operation. Could also be an electrical problem elsewhere in the system or a blockage in the heater hoses.

2002 Pontiac Bonneville, will not switch from a/c to heat unless you manually move the actuator over (I think that is what he called it). Has anyone had a similar problem? It will get hot or cold but will...

the vaccum control switch on the dash is bad. it is a funny looking little black thing with several hose hookups on it. remove the control knob for switching from ac top vent to floor vent.very inexpensive. not easy to replace
