There are four terminals on the relay. One is power, one is the pump circuit, the other two are for the magnet that closes the contacts.
You jumper a wire between the power and pump terminals in the box.
The relay is marked with a diagram and the pins on the relay are numbered.

Replace the relay. Probably runs around $12. If your bypassing by using a direct hot instead of bypassing off the relay hot trace the hot side of the relay all the way back till you find the break.

If you bypassed the relay and the pump ran, have you checked the relay is getting power, if it is then is then does the relay need replacing? if the relay clicks but there's no power on the output terminals has a fuse gone?

how did you jump the fuel pump relay, by bypassing the relay or by applying power to contact that closes the relay? If you bypassed the relay completely you need to b ench test the relay you can do this easily by using any 12v dc power source. If you tested the fuel pump relay by applying power to the relay and the pump run and developed pressure. I suspect a wiring or ground issue. Good luck

Chances are the fuel pump relay has died, and the bypass switch is turning it on in the absence of the relay. Replace your fuel pump relay and you should be able to get rid of the bypass switch.

Question is, does fuel pump relay come in/ go out when ignition switched on? How do you know "no power source to fuel pump", was that because bypassing the relay didn't cause it to run? Or did you check for supply to the pump and find nothing doing?.
Sounds rather like a frozen pump to me... or a blown fuse??
