Have your oxygen sensor checked, one of the symptoms of a faulty oxygen is an up and down idle.

SOURCE: 87 jeep wrangler 4 wheel drive don't engage

remove the vacuum hose from the shift motor on the front axle.with the vehicle running,(be sure to set parking break and /or chock tires.) place your finger over the end of the hose check for vacuum,it will be very slight. if there is no suction it is probably the vacuum switch on the transfer case. if there is vacuum, first check the vacuum motor for holes.(they rust through sometimes.) if no holes are noticed, remove the shift motor and check the shift fork. if the 4wd indicator light comes on it is probably the shift fork.

SOURCE: caster adjustment for 1990 jeep yj wrangler

caster is adjusted at the rear of the lower control arms. Camber is fixed and cannot be adjusted by normal means (though special off-set ball joints are available to do that) Toe in is adjusted by turning the sleeves in or out on the tie rod ends. None of this should be done at home though crude adjustments can be made in order to get the front end reasonably straight. Adjustments are made on an alignment machine that allows precise adjustments to all you mentioned as well as front/rear tracking.

Vacuum lines for 4 wheel drive

if you look under the Jeep on the passenger side of the front axle you will see a vacume mod its kind of round shaped it should have a vacume plug on it wit ha few hoses going into it make sure its plugged in for starters these come off all the time if it looks good here simply follow the lines into the engine compartment and look for broken hose this should get you a fix most of the time, the mod could be defective but not likely.
