Changed gas cap then checked my antifreeze, radiator empty filled radiator itself, next day no antifreeze added more then car starts like pop,pop,pop then starts and is okay, next day same thing, pop,pop,pop, starts,(also engine light blinking) following day can't start car checked antifreeze (low again) oil fine very clean, but plugs wet? why? any suggestions?
check your evap solenoid or canister. As for the wet plugs, sounds like you have a misfiring cylinder. Check your plug wires/coils and ignition system.

most likely air in the colant system, an air bubble trapped when water pump was replaced. An eazy way to tell if air is in the coolant system squeze the upper radiator hose, if seems empty or can hear coolant swishing around, then there is air in the coolant system and also coolant level not compmetely topped off.
Top off coolant with Antifreeze Concentrate, NOT WATER. water will boil and evaporate, 50/50 antifreeze mix is good but if you dont know how much water has allready been added to the coolant system then straight shots of Antifreeze is recommended when toppong off coolant level.
Remove Air and Top Off Coolant
•While Engine is cool •Remove radiator cap •Slowly fill to the rim with Antifreeze, while at the same time squeezing the upper radiator hose to swoosh around coolant, try to get as full as you can. •Replace Radiator Cap •Start engine and switch air fan on high •Remove radiator cap •Squeez upper radiator hose and add more Antifreeze as Nessesary •Notice preasure on the coolant hose, while adding antifreeze Concentrate preasure on the hose will stiffin up, When coolant is full turn off the motor.
Open the container of antifreeze. Using a separate EMPTY gallon-size container, pour out HALF of the contents into the empty container, making sure not to spill any. Now, FILL the newly filled container with tap water. Fill the rest of the antifreeze with water, also. Now, you are ready to add antifreeze to your vehicle! Simply locate the radiator cap, (Don't touch it if it's hot!!) and unscrew it. Pour the desired amount of your mixed antifreeze into the radiator. Remember not to do this without proper knowledge!
first change thermostat , when filling with coolant let the cap away start engine then fill her up until thermostat open then put back the cap ,, fill the reserve tank to the mark.
broken evap line/port on fuel pump. Or leaking fuel pump o-ring
check the EVAP canister it is right next to fuel filter could be pcm needs update to fix false codes. Here is a old hillbilly trick that may help put saliva on the seal of gas cap when you fill up every time that may work for you.
You add antifreeze coolant to the radiator. Wait until you car hasn't been driven for a long while or until engine has cooled off. Then open your radiator cap. Before adding anything you will have to drain some from your radiator first. Near the bottom of your radiator there is a drain plug that you turn to let out what you already have in there. Once it drains you close it back. You can buy premixed antifreeze that you just pour straight into the radiator until its full. Remember to check the antifreeze level the next few days after you car has cooled down. Some of the coolant will remain inside the cars coolant system lowering the level of coolant in the radiator. Remember you can get scald with boiling hot water opening the radiator cap if the car motor is hot. caution!
Lift the hood. In the upper right hand corner is the overflow fill tank. If you want to put it in fast reach down the right side of the radiator(when it's cool) unscrew the small plastic petcock and drain a gallon or two of antifreeze into clean pan. Replace petcock. Open the cap on tank and add stop leak. Fill back up with antifreeze. Now would be a good time to change it. Go to Napa and buy the original antifreeze the car came with Zerex G5. Mix 50/50 with distilled water.Fill to just above cold line and start engine keep adding mixture till it won't go down any more. Replace cap and watch level for two or three days of driving add mixture after engine is cold
P0440 - Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction
This indicates that a part of the EVAP control system is no longer fuctioning correctly. The EVAP system consists of many parts, including (but not limited to) the gas cap, fuel lines, carbon canister, purge valve, and other hoses. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.
Symptoms: You likely won't notice any drivability problems.
Causes: A code P0440 could mean one or more of the following has happened: The gas cap is not installed or working properly The purge solenoid has failed The canister is plugged and not working properly
Possible Solutions: With a P0440 OBD-II trouble code, diagnosis can be tricky at times. Here are some things to try: Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the code, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back. Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses Inspect for damaged or disconnected hoses around the Evap purge solenoid Check and/or replace the sensor Check and/or replace the purge valve Have a professional use a smoke machine to detect leaks
Open the radiator drain plug and let out as much coolant as will drain';
Replace drain plug and refill the sytem with distilled water
Run the engine for for few minutes until it is warm (not hot);
Repeat steps #3, #4 and #5 until you've effectively replace all of the
coolant with distilled water. You'll know your finished draining the system
when only clear water drains out.
Drain the system one last time (now only residual distilled water should
be in your cooling system);
**** out all the coolant in the overflow tank (I use a Turkey baster or a
huge syringe with a short length of rubber tubing.)
Replace the radiator drain plug.
Add undiluted anti-freeze to the system;
Run the engine to mix the distilled water already in the cooling system
with the newly added antifreeze.
Check the antifreeze/water concentration with a tester.
Over the next few days, adjust to the desired antifreeze/water mixture
over the next several days. You'll likely have to **** out a little coolant
mixture from the fill cap to create room for either the distilled water or the
anit-freeze you'll be adding to adjust to the desired concentration.
Sometimes I adjust by adding either water or antifreeze to the coolant-
overflow tank which utimately mixes with the engine coolant;
Don't forget to add collant and/or water to the coolant overflow tank.
