SOURCE: Horn doesn't blow loudly on 2002 Escalade

It's possible that the horn exit passage is plugged with debris, but these things are usually a sealed unit which must be replaced. There should be two horns that blow together located one on each side of the radiator--if one is dead, the sound is greatly reduced. Some horns have an adjustment screw that will optimize the sound level. Hope this helps!

There a squeeking noise in the steering colum of my 2002 escalade. Sounds like it maybe the speed odometer cable...If so is there anyway to check this out....and if so how do you change it...

I have a new noise on my 2000 DeVille and it does vary when I vary the speed. It sounds like a fan motor buzz, but gets faster when I accelerate. Any idea what this could be? I first thought it was coming from the speedometer section on the dash, but when I listened closer it seemed to be under the hood close to the windshield.

Cadalac escalade, when key turned on,engine not

It could be the fuel pump pressurizing the system. Does the sound stop after a few seconds? If it is the fuel pump then it is a normal sound. Fuel pumps will resonate in the tank when you are low on gas, making them sound louder. If it is more than a hum then I would get it checked out.

2005 GMC Envoy. Wining sound from under the car at startup.

Hello,
I suggest checking your starter motor. If the starter motor is staying engaged it could be a bad solenoid or a bad ignition switch.

I hope this helps.

Air Compressor Motor Going Off?

What is probably going on is the air suspension has a leak so the compressor is breaking down. So it will run at odd times trying to make up for the times it can not run. What you need to do is look for a conversion kit. The conversion will stop all problems that you are having now and you will never have to worry about it again. I would recommend strutmasters.com. They have great prices and there kits are guaranteed to last the life of the car.

I have a loud tic and wineing sound and the oil light comes on i add oil and it got worst

Make rure you are using 5W oil. That is if it a 1.8T. The loud tic and wineing sound could be the power stearing pump. Check to see if that is low. It is located front right behind the DS headlight under the hood. DO not for any reason use any other brand then VW PS fluid. The kind sold at auto part stores will cost you $300 at least in damage. They will ruin the hose and make any leak worse.
