Kay so the deal is i had fix the thermostat back in march and just yesterday i changed my water pump but its still over heating. the coolant leaks out of resevior tank as its on then once you shut it off the resivor eptys back out either back into the radiator or the blck wat shud i do next? shoud i rechange the thermostat?
Try overhaul radiator... maybe thick scales are already forming on it... check it oit...

Over 35 mph, the fan is negated by the ram air effect through the raddiator, so if it heats up above 35, thermostat issues. The thermostat should be removed when flushing cooling system. If your radiator cap vents below 12 lbs, The cooling system will perge . The pressure in the radiator maintained by the cap raises the boiling point. One lb. of pressure raises boiliing point by 2 degrees, so a good cap is a must. Let the engine cool and when you start it immediately look in the recovery bottle. the overflow hose tip submerged, look for bubbles.. If you see smokey little bubbles you have a combustion leak into the cooling system. If I confused you, let me know
I would flush out the whole system. sounds like something is building back-pressure. If you do re-chande the thermostat, get a 'fail-safe' one that remains open if it fails. If this does not solve the problem, it may be a blown head gasket...this would also cause back pressure in the cooling system by allowing the the fireing pressure to escape through to the cooling system.
