well you must check the engine support and the transmission support if they are still ok but i guess they are worn out if it is so change them...

faulty coolant sensor .it will cause coolant fans not to come on.

If the engine seems to run fine over 1450 RPM maybe there is a vacuum hose leaking or EGR valve is slightly stuck open. Any help from the OBD II trouble codes? Or is there simply no MIL and no stored information in the OBD II computer read at the local parts store through the connector by the drivers knee?

Your truck is OBD2 compliant take it to a local auto parts store and have them read the code for you they usually do this as a free service, if it doesn't have a obd2 port then your truck is not a 1996 vehicle.

Check the engine and transmission supports on truck.Possible broken support and you might look at the driveshaft for a damaged u-joint or missing balanceing weight on driveshaft. Any one of those things will cause a vibration. If all checks out look at the sparkplug wires and plugs for a fouling condition. Hope this help you.
