At the front edge of rear seat where it meets the floor will be two screws/bolts or sometimes pull out pins ,remove these and pull the seat towards the front and will release from the clips fitting is a reverse

you have to push the seat back towards the rear of the car while pulling it straight up the fuel filter is designed to last the life of the car if you take it out you might as well change the pump too .

Where is the fuel filter located in 2000 hyndai accent sedan?
The fuel filter is located under the rear seat.
  1. Reduce the internal pressure of the fuel lines and hoses by completing the following operations:
    • After removing the rear seat cushion, disconnect the fuel pump harness.
    • Start the engine. Allow it to stop by itself, then turn the ignition switch OFF .
    • Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
    • Connect the fuel pump harness connector.

  2. Remove the eye bolts while holding the fuel filter nuts securely.
  3. Caution: Cover the fuel filter with a shop towel to avoid residual gasoline from splashing.
  4. Remove the fuel filter mounting bolts, then remove the fuel filter from the fuel filter clamp.
  5. After replacing the fuel filter, check for fuel leaks.

Where is fuel filter on 2003 hyuandai accent
remove the rear seat bottom cushion , and remove the fuel tank access cover , remove gas cap to relieve any pressure , remove ground strap and fuel lines from the filter , remove filter ,, to reinstall reverse procedure . cheers.
