Mustang aux audio problems

Sounds like there is a short...and who knows where that could be. However you did say since you change your alternator, I'm really leaning towards a short from there.

Hi, im a retired ford tech, with alot of experience on ford anti theft . Now if you are asking about a built in oem factory anti theft, your not going to be able to bypass it. Now to answer your question, I would say your factory anti theft IS NOT causing your issue. It will make it unable to start,it doesnt kill anything else.

I would check the timing could have jumped a tooth on the timing belt/chain. Also check the rotor in the distributer make sure that it is not worn out. I have also seen a plugged catletic converter cause big time power loss and really strange problems

07 Ranger and Mustang were the first vehicles to come with a factory installed aux jack. All prior vehicles had to have one installed. I believe the Ford kit was called Trip Tunes.

There are several possible causes to your problem.

Most likely it is a ball joint.
A bad strut mount will make a similar noise. Sometimes dirt/rust in-between the strut spring and the rubber insulators can cause a creak.
If the environment is really dry or the rubber bushings on the car are really old, they can cause a creaking noise.

I would have it checked out because if it is a ball joint, it will eventually cause uneven tire wear and can even separate, resulting in total loss of control of the vehicle.

Why would you purchase an extended warrantee. Forget any warrantee,on any product. Have you even read, what your copy says?
Your vehicle should be covered for at least 3 years and 45 to 50 thousand miles.
What did the dealer say was covered? They know more about your vehicle, than any one trying to help you.

well i would guess this is a export vehicle because an american vehicle company knows that anyone with any sense would know that a mode switch doesnt really work on anything other than a corvette for handling mode switch. but sense i said i would answer your question . the mode switch on your vehicle is not the same as the turbo boost button on night rider first off. its just a so called power inrichment mode swich. it is suppose to richen fuel mixture for more power.if the light is out but u cant tell the difference with the button pushed in or out, i would say the bulb is just burnt out. cause im willing to bet that the only way u could tell it was on b4 was with the light coming on or off right. but if not the bulb being bad i would say maybe a trouble code in the pcm computer disables to mode switch other wise.

disconnect exhaust manifold and see if it starts ,it will be a slight bit noisy though.please explain what a gage is ,i always thought it was something that you see in movies that put in the victims mouth to keep them quite ??? Could do with sackful of then for er indoors but thats spelt gag,unless the E on the end is the american spelling

You owners manual will tell all the things protected by that fuse.Unplug everything the book list,put in a new fuse and if it does'nt blow then start plugging the harnesses back in an the defective part will make the fuses blow.If it blows with everything unplugged,then the problem is in you harness.Have fun!
