Why am i getting low oil presure stop engine message?

Need help would hate to seize up the engine if my oil pump is going bad

Check, if the oil level is low, top off.
If the oil level was ok then you can replace the oil sending unit.

If the oil pump was bad, it would most likely stay on, but if you have a plugged oil pick up tube, then it would be intermittent. Just have to pull the pan, pull off the pickup tube, clean it out real good and put it back on and you will be good.

Probably not. Make sure you have a clean oil filter and check the oil level. Also, make sure the oil filler cap is secured.

If oil level fine but engine seized then it could be either oil pressure low or oil not pumping around engine due to oil pump failure or engine overheated, water pump failure or radiator fans failing!

Oil pressure too low stop motor now
this case . Due to close on oil pump straner ( one pipe with filter inside oil pan ) in this case you need to replace crank bearing main and conrod bearing and oil pump oil presure sender . all this parts can be replace with out remove engine , only oil pan .

While driving on the highway the check engine light came on. I did a systems check and it said low oil pressure.
did your oil light come on as well?? Sounds like your oil pump is going bad just from what you told me.....Check your oil and make sure you have it full...
Dont run your engine with low oil pressure as it could seize especially if your oil pump isnt working.

All that sounds silly to me

You will need to have the oil leak
repaired by a repair shop, before
you run low and ruin the engine

What the gasket is called and engine
size doesn't matter,your going to pay
someone to deal with that

I own a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse and it has a full amount of oil but the pressure gauge is showing a lower pressure than what it used to. Could it be the oil pump going out? Im running Valvoline 5W-30...
take it to a shop have them put a manual guage on it if it has low presure you need a new oil pump and new bearing but it is very bad to drive with bad presure

My oil gage needle goes on low or empty then the check gages light come on and then within second the oil gage needle moves back and the oil is fine we are always checking it?
Could be an oil sending unit starting to go bad, or your oil pump pick up screen is getting clog up.

Oil pressure low when idling. When running engine
first check the oil level if its good then change the oil if you hav'nt done so all ready and add some LUCAS oil stablizer this may help alot if not then the oil pump is most likley going bad and needs to be replced before the engine lacks oil and cause the engine to seize.

Low oil preasure stop engine message displayed on a chevy trailblazer LT 2004. has anyone encounter this problem? solution?
I havent encountered it. However, I highly recommend you do not drive this car. Low oil pressure can do permanent damage to the engine. It sounds like your oil pump is bad. However, if debris managed to get inside your engine it could have damaged the piston walls causing this to happen as well.

I hate to say it, but unless you are a very skilled mec hanic this is a job for the dealership.

Oil scencer showing low presure
if your oil pressure gauge is reading low, the sensor, instrument cluster gauge or the pump is bad. remove sensor and use an oil pressure test gauge. reading should be measured and verified against manufactures specs. if the pump is bad, damage to the engine will result.
