Battery dies in 3 days like trunk light stays on

You trunk switch in the glove box may be turned off. It is located on the left hand side inside the glove box. Be sure that it is turned on and then attempt to pen the trunk. Don't give up after one try. I have a 2006 and it has taken a couple of cycles of the off/on switch and the electronic key to open it.If this does not work, you probably have damage and may have to take the vehicle to a shop and ask about having the trunk opened and either order the new parts for an electronic lock or have a keyed lock installed, once the trunk has been opened manually at the shop.

If it has a trunk release it sounds to be frozen..Also some close themselves electrically...But I am sure you would know if it is electric or not..If not check for a trunck fuse in the fuse box or the owners manual would be the best...If it is a manual trunk and is stuck or frozen you should be able to move the trunk latch with a big flat prybar...And if it is out of alignment the adjustment is at the striker that is mounted to the lid and not the latch itself....Hope thhis helps......Metalpoet

Catch on body side has rotated slightly. One bolt holds it in position. Loosen bolt and turn latch upright until it matches V in lid lock. Tighten. Repeat every few years. Or as previous poster suggested, show it to the dealer.
It shouldn't cost much if anything.
