There is a sensor under the left hand side of the dash that would not allow it to start, provided that you have replaced the electronic spark module inside the distributor first, which is what it sounds like it would be, When you say you replaced the distributor I assume you replaced it complete!
to start a car engine you need 3 things: fuel; compression; spark. Assuming the engine is ok and you have spark, get a can of starting fluid. remove the rubber hose that goes to the throttle body & spray fluid into it. then try to start the car..if it starts and runs for a second or so,your problem is fuel related
