SOURCE: '88 XJ-S Misfiring When Warmed Up
have you tried a new coolant sensor?it is poss it is telling the ecu its still cold so its chucking more fuel through. also get a block tester and test cylinder head
SOURCE: Wheel shake and brake judder
what speeds are you obtaining and braking
I would think that you tires are out of balanced whether it be dabre in the rim or an improper balancing job
some cars can be fine up to 40 but when you step up the speed more the more the tires become unbalanced. making the servere shakes.

Check the igniter module.
I assume you have a ecu code telling you #3 coil is missfiring ?
If so also check the crankshaft angle sensor .
If it is not an error code do a compression test and check the injector.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: how can you test the spark plug coils, what is the
Dear Pablo,
You can check the input voltage at each coil. This way you make sure you have the proper amount to operate. Disconnect the six ignition coil connections. Turn the ignition key on. Check the voltage at Cyl #1 B/Y wire, Cyl#2 B/U wire,Cyl #3 B/O, Cyl#4 B/G, Cyl#5 B/R, Cyl#6 B/W and ground. It should be 10.5V or higher. If not,you need to find the cause of the voltage drop.
If ok, you can test the resistance of each coil. At the coil, measure the resistance across the primary windings. It should measure between 0.50 Ohms ans 1.00 Ohms.
I hope this information is helpful. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks,Chuck.

42 miles with a jaguar. First I love Jaguars. Youll get to your home by a tow truck. The car is talking to you say its sick. Here is what will happen, The TRAC, ASC, light is on okay the APP will now go to limp home mode what this mean it will default giving limited operations, youll probable just go 30mph, and that is just it. The transmission does not know what gear or how fast its going so it communicates to the powertrain it tell it I dont know what Im doing so it activates the traction control and say keep me safe the traction control say okay Ill get disable, then the transmission control tell the powertrain I could be burning up or slipping. So The APP(acclerator pedal position ) gets involved and say we will just limp on home.Remeber i love juguars so does tow trucks
