SOURCE: how to install a clutch on acura CL

Plenty to mention. Best way is to get the Hanyes Repair manual-sold for around $20, with plenty of stuff in it. A few things:
Disconnect battery.
Take off starter-motor.
Remove brake calipers, and tie them to struts.
Remove front tires.
Disconnect clutch master-cylinder
Jack up the car and support it on jack-stands.
Unbolt the clutch-housing from the engine, drag it out.
Installation is reverse of removal.

SOURCE: I have a 1998 Acura 3.0 cl and the brake lights

Check all fuses first. If they are good, go under dash and check brake switch. Remove electrical connector, Attach ohmmeter to both terminals. Should have infinite resistance. Depress plunger. Should have no resistance. If you have trouble with the meter, buy one that beeps when there is continuity

How do i replace brake pads frony and rear on 1997 accura cl 3.0

This is not easy. Look at the Cl brake blog by P48. You can get the rear caliper piston in the fully retracted position with a home-made tool to twist it clockwise. It is like a large "X". Make sure it is retreating into the body of the caliper which will allow the "thick" new pads to sandwich onto your (new) rotor.

How do I replace front brake rotors on a 1997 acura 2.2cl. how do I remove front brake rotors. Are they pressed on or can I do this at home?

Good job, P48. I had to drill out the head (s) of the screws that didn't want to come out. The rotors will self-align with out the screws but it is disconcerting. One screw will keep the disc on the hub while you are getting the caliper/pads in place.

98 acura cl brakes come on by themselves randomly, becoming daily problem, have new pads and rotors front and rear?

ok ....take a look at your slide pins make sure that there not frozen if this is the case than you may have to heat them to free them up..........also this could be a abs issue i would need to know if your abs light is on if so you would have to take to your local repair shop to read the codes ,,,,good luck

Rear brake calipers on 94 Acura vigor are frozen and can't replar

Have you checked to see if the emergency brakes are on? Reason I ask is it's unusual that both calipers would be seized at the same time. Once the e-brake has been released visually inspect to see that the cables are also free (loose) where they attatch to the caliper. There is a technical service bulletin which states that one side can become sticky but not both seized.

Left rear brake does not have as much stopping power as right

Hi
Possibly partially blocked rubber brake hose to this caliper, or the caliper pistons are seized.
Good Luck !
John.
