How do you get the second bolt off of the starter of 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan? Where is it located?

    Thank you for your attempt to help with my problem! It sits right in the middle of the front of the engine block. A friend has some special tools that helped solve this problem.

With most front wheel drives you must remove the passenger tire and reach through to the starter bolt with an extension and if I remember write with a 15 mm socket you can reach through and take out the bolt

How do you remove the starter from 2001 grand caravan. i just cant get to the nut thats on top of the starter. is there a secret way to get to it?
what nut on top of starter ? you have 2 bolts that run's from bottom of starter upwards to engine block. after they come out starter will be loose then it will drop some to get the pos. cable,2 small hot wire's off......then finish dropping starter ---- put back in reverse order......

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:
    Negative battery cable Starter harness connectors Starter motor
To install:
Install or connect the following:
Starter motor. Torque the bolts to 35 ft. lbs. (47 Nm). Starter harness connectors. Torque the battery cable nut to 100 inch lbs. (11 Nm). Negative battery cable

DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, JACK UP AND SUPPORT YOUR CARAVAN. LYING ON YOUR BACK LOCATE THE STARTER WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE ENGINE THROUGH THE BELL HOUSING .THERE ARE TWO 15 MILIMETER BOLTS THAT HOLDS THE STARTER ON . AFTER BREAKING THE BOLTS A 15MM WRENCH WOULD BE USEFUL.
