XL7 has a clicking scraping noise on drivers side in reverse only. Have checked brakes and they look ok. When I put on jacks with the hub off and turn by hand I can still hear the clicking grinding

Where is the noise? Front or back? At the brake or differential? Usually grinding and clicking is the rear brake drums. Brake shoes/hardware. Year, make, and model?

I hear a clicking sound when i'm accelerating It doesnt make this noise when stationary/idleing. what is causing this clicking noise?

Could there be a foreign object in one of the tires like a bolt? Or something in the driveline, have the vehicle lifted up and then run it in gear to see if the noise is still there.

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500, whenever i put in gear- drive or reverse i hear loud noises in back of truck

Sounds to me like you need to check your universal joints,or the backlash in the rearend, universals would be the most likely caiuse of the noise.

If there is only one click when you go into first or reverse. Then look at the linkage on the clutch pedal. If you push the clutch pedal down and up (without putting it into gear) does it still make the click sound? Is the transmission going into gear normal? Is the throw-out bearing making any noise? A throw-out bearing can make a loud click noise.

I hear Noise when i back up in my 1997 Dodge Ram 1500

do you live in a colder climate? if when you start your truck in the morning and you hear a whine type of noise when you place your truck in reverse, the problem you have is likely a malfunctioning valve body. this problem is common with the 46re trans log onto http://genosgarage.com this site is dedicated to rams both diesel and gas. in the search box at genos type in tech service bulletins and it will list any tsb specific to your ram. it will describe the problem and walk you through how to repair. im pretty sure this is your prob. if you start your truck with the transmission in neutral and let the engine come up to temp before engaging reverse, this will reduce the noise. part of the problem is inadequate trns fluid circulating though the torque converter. placeing your truck in neutral while idling seems to improve fluid flow thereby reducing the noise.
