Need to get check engine light checked most auto stores offer this service for free check your local area ---sputtering can be anything from bad gas to bad fuel pump but if gas is good--- you may need a tune up ---bad or clogging fuel filter --throttle body [possible code ]dirty---egr clogging --or fuel pump failing [internal filer [clogging] or air filter --map sensor [possible code[etc-but first get the trouble that will give you a start point

Testimonial: "I cant remember the code that came up but it was for random cylinder misfire. Someone told me that theres a fuel filter built into fuel pump and cant be replaced unless you buy a whole new unit. I cleaned throttle body already with special cleaner. but did nothing. Replaced air filter and didnt do anything either."

before you start throwing parts in when you clean throttle body you cant just spray cleaner in it need to wipe inside body then you have to do a relearn procees-but borrow a fuel pressure tester and test fuel pressure if low it can be filter or pump--- the fuel filter is mounted on bottom of fuel pump like i said "internal"you can just get a filter if you want but easier to replace whole unit if pressure is low or erratic because you already have pump out and with fuel starving pump it overheats so replacing the unit is better ---if fuel was good need to lookat other options -egr valve --carbon build up /clean or replace ----cat converter clogging ----coil pack weak or shorting out----plugs ----a tune up - even bad gas -these are some of options that cause preformance problems

Usually a sputter will occur under load conditions like going up hill from a lack of fuel. Start by changing the fuel filter.

Testimonial: "Thank you i will try that, it also does it on straights too like cruising down the highway. If your running at 2,000 ish rpms and go to pass someone it jerks really bad and light blinks for about a minute until u let off."

SOURCE: where is the fuse box in the 06 chevy uplander

I have a chevy uplander and you have to open the passenger door and its on the side of the dash, to the right of the glove box. You will notice a small rounf opening with just enough room for 2 fingers to go in. the whole side will come off when you pull it.

SOURCE: fuel filter for the chevy uplander

The fuel filter on this vehicle is located inside the fuel tank and is an integral part of the fuel pump module assembly. As such, it's not replaceable by itself and can only be serviced by replacing the entire pump module. It's a "lifetime" filter, in theory anyway, but it can plug up if there has been a large amount of crud that has gotten into the tank somehow. The best way to determine if the filter is restricted is to have the fuel pressure tested as part of a road test drive to see if the pressure remains steady [indicating a good pump and ok filter] or drops off [indicating a restricted filter or weak pump] Hope this helps!

SOURCE: can you explain how the gas cap can cause a

The gas tank and emissions are under vaccum and a loose/bad seal or missing gas cap allows the vacuum to leak out when the pcm detects irregular vacuum it will turn the service engine light on.

My 08 Chevy Uplander turn signals, break lights, and hazards will not blink. I have power on one wire at the bulb, and ground on one wire, the third wire has no power going to it.

Sounds like you've got two different problems, because the brake lights and turn signals are on different circuits.
1. Brake lights. These should work whether the engine is on or off. Check fuse box for a blown fuse. If OK, check for voltage at one of the lights with the brake pedal depressed. If no voltage, brake light switch under dash probably bad. Fairly easy replacement.
2. Flashers/turn signals. The flashers should work with the engine on or off. If they don't, might be a bad fuse. If that doesn't fix it, might be a problem with the wiring connected to the turn signal switch, or the switch itself.

Where is the fuel filter for a Chevy uplander 08 located and could that cause reduced engine power

It has no fuel filter just a filter screen in the inlet of the electric fuel pump. You are guessing here, not a good idea on modern computer controlled cars. You need to have the engine control computer scanned for fault codes, once you have those you do the diagnostics for those faults and arrive at the repair solution. You can have the fault code test run for free at any Autozone parts store or other parts store like them.
