When my 2011 subaru outback sits idle for more than 2 days, it won't start. The security icon flashes non stop when it is running or not. Could the security system be causing it to not start? What should I do?

You may have to take it to a shop and have them connect their OBD tool to the computer and clear the deep memory. If you have a code left in the deep memory it can reapear like that. Good luck. Please rate me so I know how I'm doing. Thanks.

I assume you've already worked the seat belt end back and forth with force. Did the belt move at all? Did you remove the rear seat bottom cusion from the car? That will give you additional leverage on the belt.
If the belt twisted the last time it was used and then rolled up, you need to go to the dealer or an upholstery shop for help.

Security issues on this year of vehicle are often related to faulty or going bad car battery (have it tested at Wally World free) or worn ignitions...Ask your local Subie dealer nicely if they'd "clear" the code for you.
Good Luck

there is nothing the shop did the that caused this they do that because of the heat inside the car sitting out in the sun
