I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer and the AC unit normally works in all vents, however, as of late when that AC is turned on it only blows from the rear vent in the back and not the vents at the front of the vehicle. The air is still cold in the back but there is not air coming from the vents in the front. Please advise. Thank you.

Can the 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer be lubricated?

I'm guessing by the year that you have pretty high mileage on your SUV. If that is the case then you will probably need to rebuild front end. that should take care of the problem. Good luck.

I have a 2007 ford explorer, all of a sudden, the ac blows only through the defroster, and at my feet. It will not blow through the front vents. The ac blows cold.

the blend door actuator is bad. there about 70 dollars at ford. make sure you hook up the actuator and put the control on defrost before you bolt it on the air box or you will brake the blend door.
