Steering shakes when i drve it - 1999 Honda Civic

A vibration in the steering can be caused by several things, but the first thing you should do is a visual inspection of the front tires and rims. Look for anything out of place , such as bulges on the tire tread or side, dents or bends in the wheels. Next you should inspect the steering components: while someone slowly turns the steering wheel side to side. Look for play or wear in the steering linkage, such as the tie rod ends, or rack and pinion unit, and look for tears in the CV joint boots, or leaking grease from that area. If you are not familiar with these items, usually a reputable shop will inspect your car for free, to let you know what they find. Last but not least, if you don't find any visable clues, have someone ride along to try to pinpoint the location of the vibration, either left or right, slowing down or speeding up, etc.
