Fusible link toyota starlet

Blown fusible link can be the problem.Take all the fuses out and spray contact clean on all fuse connections ,then reinstall fuses after a light sanding with fine sand paper. You can make a new fusible link by wiring in an inline fuse.If you don't know the amperage of the blown fusible link,go with a 20 amp fuse if it's for the lights.
Nice car.

1984 aprice classic, Headlights, Tail lights, Interior lights not working (shut off while I was driving) Brake lights, blinkers still working... I checked fuses and replaced headlight switch... Still not...

Maybe power got cut going to the headlight switch. I think that would be a fusible link coming right off the battery source and going to the switch. Fusible links were used as power distributors before the era of maxi-fuses and power distribution boxes found in today's cars. Just like fuses, the link is designed to break and stop current flow if power demand is too high, like a short. Sometimes they get old and just give out. When the link goes, the wiring insulation may bubble or melt off some, the link may feel uneven or rough. Fusible links can be cut out and replaced with a similar rated new link. If you have no power to the headlight switch, look for a melted fusible link.

2000 jeep grand cherokee interior lights won't turn on...

Check your owners manual for your fuse panel, it will show you the location of the fuse panel, as well as the fuse location for the interior lamps. If the fuses seem ok, check your door switches, located near your door hinges on each door, they should be spring loaded, and mov in and out freely. It is very likely some dirt,or rust has locked one of the in the closed position, however if all the switches are funtioning properly, Check the interior dimmer switch, this controls your dash light brightness, as well as your interior lights. If you cant control the dash light brightness this is likely the culprit.

Fuses have me confused

if you have not low beams or tail lghts most likelly your head light switch is bad, and the light are not feed by a regular fuse
they have fusible link, that means a regular wire with built in fuse, if any thing happends the wire just burn a liitle part of it and prevent fire on harnes, this fusible link will be located by the starter solenoid atached to the batterie hot wire on starter coming from batterie or by the batterie, just pull gently on every wire i mention and if one come apart fix it,
