When I turn my air conditioner on, nothing happens as far as in the engine. It doesn't sound like the air conditioner is turning on. Nothing runs "harder" and the air temp does not seem to change.
I have not. I think the actual unit under the engine is bad. When I turn the AC on, nothing sounds like it engages. no difference in engine noise.I have not. I think the actual unit under the engine is bad. When I turn the AC on, nothing sounds like it engages. no difference in engine noise.

i would try adding some freon first then see if the pressure is up to speed!!
then if that checks out, you may have bigger problems!!i would try adding some freon first then see if the pressure is up to speed!!

Sounds like a fuse has gone all fuses are under bonnet remove fuse lid on the back of the lid should be a cardboard fuse diagram telling you which number fuse does what
Most likely you have a leak. Turn the air conditioner on high and look at the compressor on the engine if it turns for a few seconds and turns off you may be low on freon. If it does not turn at all you may be very low on freon in both cases it needs to be recharged, you should also try to find the leak and repair it to. Also check the condenser in front of the radiator to make sure nothing is blocking it. Good luck with it.
If it's not turning over at all, nothing happens when the key is turned, no click, try having it jumped. If it starts and dies, then pull the altenator out, bring it to autozone or the like, where they'll test it for free. If it fails, and your battery is more than couple years old, go ahead and replace that, too. If it does nothing when jumped and the altenator is ok, put a socket on the crankshaft with a breaker bar and try to turn the engine, if it doesn;t turn, the engine seized. Otherwise, more testing is needed that would be too much to describe here.
