Yes the transmission is failing, the clutches inside or worn out.

My 97 Cadillac deville concourse transmission is slipping. My fluid was very low and now its slipping. Did I put too much fluid?

take the oil pan off and inspect for any metal particles then change filter and recommended trans oil as is said on your dipstick.you need 10.4 liters of trans fluid. Also contamination in the valve body could cause this and any sensors in it.If your car has over 200000 KM than get it rebuild.

Is the overdrive light flashing when this Happens. If so, it's slipping in fourth and internal repair is necessary, especially if the trans fluid smells burnt. Yes! and have the trans scanned for transmission codes (could be an electrical problem ie. bad shift solenoid). Best of luck, hope this helps.

Sounds like it's bypassing the overdrive seals. This is the solenoid package. I would put some transmission additive in first, this reconditions the seals. TranX, Lucus are both good.

Something slipping in transmission ford contour 1999

it depends on the trans but ford had alot of problems with though years with the overdrive shift kit it is a band in the trans and it pop out and break you need to take to local trans shop and let them look at it and tell them the problem and they will take the trans out and crack it up and replace the part that need to be replace before you have to replace the whole trans the ford dealerships dont have the best trans people hate to say that but it true take to someone who specialize in trans only

2002 saturn sl1 automatic transmission slips/leaks..

what you might be seeing is the fluid that leaked before still coming off the transmission. is the level staying steady ?

it might be slipping or you are more focused on how the transmission shifts now then you were before.

there is a product i have tried on slipping transmissions and it's made by lucas (can't remember the exact name) it basically thickens the transmission fluid to prevent slipping. according to the label it would not void the warrenty (if you have any remaining on that car).
