2013 ford grand cmax rear passenger sliding door won't open

There are several possible causes for a rear sliding door that won't open on a Ford Grand C-Max, including a malfunctioning latch, a broken cable, or a damaged handle. Here are some steps you can try to open the door:
  1. Try using the interior or exterior handle: If the handle feels loose or doesn't move smoothly, it could indicate a problem with the latch or cable. If the handle feels normal but the door won't open, move on to step 2.
  2. Check the child lock: Make sure the child lock on the door is not engaged, as this can prevent the door from opening from the inside. The child lock is usually located on the edge of the door, near the latch.
  3. Use the key fob: Press the unlock button on your key fob to see if the door will unlock and open. If it doesn't, move on to step 4.
  4. Check the fuse: Look for the fuse box on your Ford Grand C-Max and locate the fuse for the power sliding door. Check the fuse to see if it's blown, and replace it if necessary.
  5. Try manually unlocking the door: If all else fails, you can try manually unlocking the door by removing the door panel and accessing the latch mechanism. This can be a complicated process, so it may be best to take the vehicle to a professional mechanic or Ford dealer for assistance.
Overall, if you are not familiar with automotive repairs, it may be best to take the vehicle to a mechanic or Ford dealer to diagnose and repair the issue.

2002 Ford Explorer Front passenger door won't lock or unlock with fob or door controls. Every once in a while though, it will work. But that is rare. What is wrong? All the other doors work.

Door control, meaning a key or the key pad? If it is the keypad or FOB, then your problem is the lock actuator. Replace the door latch inside the door. If you have problems with the key...There are rods and/or cables that release the lock. On these there are plastic clips that hold the rods/cables to the latch and the door handles and key lock cylinder. If one breaks it will usually work. But if two break, you get the problem you have now. Too much slop. Your best bet to find them is at a salvage yard.

My passengers side sliding door won't unlock. I was able to get the inside trim off the door and expose the inner workings but was unable to unlock the door manually. As i was trying to put enough...

Look at the other door and look on the front edge to see where the child safety lock switch and see if that is the problem with the other door. That has happened with mine several times. Someone will play with it leaving it on so it can't be opened.

I have a 2001 Ford Escape with a passenger side front door that will not open from outside (handle is just pulls out and does not go in) and inside handle does not release the door either. To get the door...

You might try having someone inside, pulling steadily on the door handle and then 'bumping' near the latch assembly on the outside with the heel of the hand. This will cause some confused latches to let go again.

Rear passenger door will not open inside and outside latch useless window works no damage to door

there is a bulletin on this problem, the latch is defective & needs replacement unfortunately ford doesn't recognize this as a safety recall so you have to pay $$$ I'm working on a customer's car for their passenger front door not opening bad latch. you have to get inside the door & on the latch there is a small release lever you move with a small screwdriver to open the door then replace the latch.

2002 door locks failed ford escape

Using a multimeter, check for voltage at the lock/unlock solenoid. Disconnect the connector and probe the unlock side with the other lead on a good ground. Hit the unlock twice and see if you get voltage. If yes, the solenoid may be defective or if not, you could possibly have a bad relay. Even though you can hear the relay, that doesn't necessarily mean it's completing the circuit. My car did the same thing and I ended up replacing the relay.
The lock side check would be the same.

Hope this helps!
