2009 Jeep Commander just in a fender bender. Tried to start the car with the phaub outside of the car. The doors lock but the car doesnt start. There is a red light that comes on the dash that I looked up that states that there is a problem with the security system. If I lock the doors to the truck and use the key to unlock the doors the alarm goes off telling me that the security system works fine. ihave noticed that the security light on the dash board does not flash anymore and when I used the the remote starter before the doors would lock and the headlsights would flash. Like I previously stated the dooors are lockink but the lights dont flash and the car doesnt start. Any ideas out there

Alarm wont set 2008 jeep commander

the car came with 2 RKE FOBs
are both dead.?
alway have 3 FOB if not you can not reprogram a new one. self.
can cost you $300 for more to tow your car to the dealer if the 1 fob dies. never run one fob. or bad happens.
put in a new battery in the FOB for door issues
the transponder part does not use the battery .
the transponder must be good, or the car would never run.
the jeep cuts fuel after 2 seconds if the transponder fails.

My 2006 jeep commander will not start.

Hello
The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

We have a 2006 Kia Spectra, the car was in a minor fender bender ( rear passenger side) and now the door locks keep clicking. The remote still locks the doors and they stay locked. If you lock them from...

The linkages or inside the door panel may have come off on the door lock. The best way to check the problem is to remove the panels and simulate the locking of the doors. You should see if there are parts that may have come off or had loosened up.

I have a 2009 Jeep Commander. Tyre size is 245/65/17 (Goodyear Wrangler) I want to put 265/65/17 BF Goodrich tyres on the vehicle. Can I do this and will it affect the vehicle badly in any way?

The tire that you're considering is ~20mm or 3/4" wider than the stock tire. You shouldn't experience any negative issues with this tire. If the tire were taller / shorter, you might have speedometer calibration issues or rubbing of the fenders while cornering or going over bumps, but this isn't the case here.

Good luck.

Heat will only defrost, no matter where I put the dial.

In the front of the cherokee, right side under the bumper there is a football shaped plastic canister.
The canister is a resoiver for vacuum that control the heat and defrost doors. Either it is cracked from the fender bender or the body shop didn't connect the vacuum lines.
