Driver side door window & door lock control doesn't work

Drivers side door lock will not lock the car with the key or from the inside of car either. Also NONE of the windows go down or up with ANY of the window buttons.(right now windows are up& will not go down) I can lock the car from the passengers side door though.I had the car checked out & i was told the fuses & relay switch were working fine. That it was the circuit board in drivers side door window controller. I bought a used one & tried putting it on & it also did not work. I was told it could possibly be the wire harness that connects to the circuit board. Could this be it & how would i go about fixing this in an affordable manor?? Please help me!

There is a L shaped bracket on top of the red 'Positive' + terminal of the battery connector, contained on the back of this there are four (4) fuses.... Check these... one of them controls the whole lot...!!!

SOURCE: Passenger side power window suddenly

I had the same problem with my driver side window, so I just replaced the power window motor. It took less than an hour, cost about $35 or $40 and it works perfectly now.

SOURCE: 1998 Toyota Corolla Electric Door Lock Problem

You'll need to replace the solenoid (motor) that doesn't work. Not hard once you get the door panel off. I suggest you buy the correct part, not a universal one.

SOURCE: power windows and power locks wont work

Check your fuses first. Then check for power at the switches, and power from the switches to the respective solenoid and motor. Most likely it's fuses. Also check where the wiring runs through the door into the car for bare spots in the wiring that might have blown the fuses.

Door locks unlocks

Sounds like the main wiring loom into the door has been damaged.
Check near the hinges, where the door swings, to see if any damaged wires. Does the door lock and unlock from the drivers side switch?

2000 cadillac deville driver side won't open with the key

1) Key turns but dose not unlock door. This means that the rod that goes to the back of the lock has came off. This also means that is the reason door is not unlocking with the remote as it pops the lock rod inside the door which pushes the lock open.
2) Key does not turn lock at all but works passengers side door. This means that the locks has been changed in the door, but that doesn't sound like the problem as you say the remote doesn't open the drivers side door so more than likely the rod has came off the back of the lock

None of the driver's side window and door lock controls work. Additionally, none of the other door's widow controls work. The front passenger-side door locks do work.

For killerbee6 - Lets try the simplist possible thing first. Is the window lock (child safety feature) button pressed in? Its located there on the drivers door with all the other windows switches. If it is, then all windows will be locked in their current location. Also the back doors have their own (child safety feature) manual switch located on the end of the door that opens out (which override the manual "pullup lever" inside, to unlock door)

Second possibility is that the modular connector in the drivers door has seperated from its other half.

For bbmason - sounds like your vehicle was broken into and the theft (which didn't get the truck) may have popped off a switch that is attached to the back side of the key cylinder. That switch tells the Security system a key was used to unlock door, and since its not attached to the cylinder anymore it can't return to it normal 'home/nuetral' state, so when you arm the security it disarms 5 seconds later.
