The triangel cover on the inside towards the front of the door. pop it off and youll see three 10mm bolts that hold the whole housing to the door.

the Glass element or the glass and backing assembly? if just the glass it is just glued on, Scotch two sided tape works as well, if the Glass and backing fixture it just snaps in and out of the drive motors.

SOURCE: How do I install a side view mirror on my F250?

The door panel must be removed to get to the wiring. On a 04 250 you need to: pop off the moulding covering the mirror mounting nuts. Pry the window switch plate forward then up to disconnect it, then unplug it . Rmove the screw behind the switch plate and behind the reflector. Push up on the door panel to remove it.

SOURCE: How do I install a passenger side mirror for a

The directions I suggest are the signal mirrors from Muth Co, they are good directions with pictures.
www.kwmuth.com

Enter your make and year, on the product listing page is a URL to the PDF download of the directions. This will provide some nice directions on removing the door panel, to gain access to the nuts behind the mirror sail panel. Obviously you don't need to remove the glass from the mirror head if you already have the new mirror head complete. It is an easy job, I have done this on my 2001 ( did the Muth install ) as well as my 2006 F-150s.

How to tighten passenger side mirror on a 2003 Chevy Avalanche

Remove the trim piece on the inside of the Avalanche, near the inside of the mirror. It pops off to reveal 3 bolts, they're 10mm if I'm not mistaken, but these are the bolts you want if your mirror is loose!

I would unscrew the 3 screws and take the mirror out, to try and see why theyre not holding it properly. maybe use epoxy to fix the broken bracket and then screw the mirror back on.

Passenger side mirror is loose, how do i tighten it?

If the mirror housing is loose where it attaches to the door panel, you will probably have to remove the inner (inside the car) door panel to gain access the 2 or 3 nuts or bolts that secure the housing to the door and tighten them.

The glass in the driver side rear view mirror is loose. how do you tighten it up?

The driver and passenger side mirrors have a small rubber plug in the bottom center of the mirror housing. Remove the plug and there is a phillips head screw holding the mirror assembly. Tighten this screw about 1/8 turn and it will keep the mirror from moving around. If you remove the screw you can remove the mirror and drive motors. Use a bit of thread-lock to keep the screw from loosing again. Reinstall the rubber plug.
