AC blows cool then turns warm and stays warm for awhile.

  • jeremyjenkin Jun 22, 2009

The AC is full. Checked the gauge and it says full. Have tried to put refrigerate in it before and it is full.

Your system is low on refrigerant. Refill to proper level.

Hey,

I added some freon to mine. Works for now, but refrigerant pressure is going down each week, which means I have a slow leak, probably from the evap. Cheapest solution, although not as "green", is to put some freon back in (12$ a bottle). Since your AC is blowing hot air, it means its empty: add the content of 2 bottles. Then monitor your AC pressure (buy a AC gauge) regularly (week to week for instance) and decide if it's worth it for you to change the evap (expensive solution).

Thanks

Driver side blowing warm air with ac on , passenger side cold...2007 Impala

The 2 vents on the drivers side have warm air blowing out. ... But a system that is 1/2 pound low will cause the passenger side vents to blow cool or cold air, and the drivers side to be less cool or even warm on this car. There is simply not enough freon capacity in the system to cool the air to the drivers side.

AC blows cold while moving, and gets warmer while I'm stopped

There are two fans behind the radiator. One is suppose to begin running when the AC is turned on. The other is to cool the radiator when it gets too warm. Raise the hood with the engine running and AC "on"and see if at least one fan is running.

AC works for awhile, then just blows normal air. Some days I turn on the AC and can go 15 minutes, with nice cool air, then all of the sudden it blows normal air. I can tell when it happens, because the...

1. Probably your AC has air inside
2.You have to use vacuum machine to **** the air out from your AC and then fill up ES-22a or R-22, if you know how to do it, otherwise take to the AC specialist to do it.
